Man Utd target Sporting's Bruma

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is looking to enter the battle for the signature of highly-rated Sporting Lisbon youngster Bruma.

Liverpool and Manchester City have all been cited as the possible candidates to land the 18-year-old striker, however the Portuguese may be tempted with a move to newly crowned Premier League champions. Sir Alex Ferguson hopes that Man Utd’s strong connections with the Portuguese club, who sold them Ronaldo and Nani, could facilitate the potential move. The Scot is prepared to pay around £3million for the player.

Sporting Lisbon are currently experiencing serious financial troubles and may be forced to sell some of their best talents. They have confirmed that striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel has agreed a summer move to Norwich for £8 million.
