Manchester City set to complete Isco signing in next 48 hours

Manchester City are looking to complete the deal of signing highly-rated playmaker Isco from Malaga for £21 million within the next 28 hours.

City feared Real Madrid could steal the player from under their noses, however the prospect of playing under his former manager Manuel Pellegrini proved to be too tempting for Isco to refuse. Another factor, which was of crucial importance for the player while deciding which club to join, was whether the club can guarantee he will be given his share of first-team football. With Angel Di Maria, Mesut Ozil, Kaka and Luka Modric competing for the place in first XI at Santiago Bernabeu, Isco decided he would have more first-team opportunities in Manchester City side.

The 21-year-old Spaniard has chosen Man City and admitted that a deal could be completed over a week-end. He said: ‘I prefer not to comment about my future but the matter could be closed this Sunday.’
