Manchester United target Thiago was sent a ‘come and join’ me plea by De Gea

Manchester United target Thiago was sent a ‘come and join’ me plea by De Gea

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea wrote “see you in Manchester” on the match-ball after the Euro U-21s final, in which Thiago Alcantara netted a marvelous hat-trick helping his side to claim the trophy.

Barcelona forward Thiago, who has been linked with a move to Manchester United for some time, had the ball signed by all his teammates after a memorable 4-2 victory over Italy and United goalie De Gea dropped a line “Nos vemos en Manchester” or “see you in Manchester”.

Red Devils’ new boss David Moyes is reportedly a long-term admirer of the talented Barcelona forward and is ready to table around £18million to sign him.

Thiago himself was desperate to make the breakthrough into the first team last season however his number of appearances has been limited due to excellent form of Xavi and Iniesta. With Thiago considering the possibility of leaving the club, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Manchester City have all expressed their interest. And yet Manchester United are considered favourites to win the battle for the signature of the 22-year-old Spaniard.
