McGeady set to leave Spartak Moscow in summer

Spartak Moscow winger Aiden McGeady has set his sights on a move to Premier League in summer, after publicly admitting his desire to leave the Russian side.

McGeady’s current deal is set to expire in 2014, however he has rejected Spartak’s offer of a new contract and revealed he is keen on playing for one of Premier League clubs. He said: “I have ambitions to play in England and have made it clear I won’t be signing a new contract.”

The 26-year-old has made just 10 Premier Liga appearances this season, scoring 3 goals. The host of Premier League clubs are expected to try and land the player in summer, including Everton, Sunderland and Wigan.
