Messi wins fourth consecutive Ballon d’Or for award

It is no wonder that Messi claimed his fourth consecutive Ballon d’Or award after surpassing Gerd Muller’s record of 85 goals in a calendar year netting an unbelievable 91 goal.

Yet again Iniesta has been left in the shade despite the fact that Spain has been dominating the international football for last several years and Iniesta has been instrumental in winning Euro-2012. Yet again the result of the voting has left Ronaldo, who has enjoyed outstanding La Liga season with Real Madrid, bitterly disappointed.

Despite the fact that Messi has missed out on the Champions’ league and La League titles this year he has regained his form with the international team, scoring 12 goals (including two hat-tricks). By winning the record-breaking fourth consecutive Ballon d’Or award Messi has again claimed the title of the best football player ever.
