Mikel takes a firm stand that Chelsea is on the right way despite preseason setbacks.
He played in both friendlies when the team lost two games in a row. The Blues were defeated by MSL All-Star team 3-2 and after that they lost to AC Milan 1-0.

Mikel said to Chelsea official website that the results hadn’t been wanted though game was good for the team and the squad was getting closer to what they want to be. Then he added that it was preseason and they still had enough time to improve their play before they got to the competitive games. Mikel takes stock of their experience in America as exciting.

The team’s USA tour finished with the game against Italian AC Milan and now they are ready to go back to the UK expecting the Premier League season. ‘Now we have to get back, build on what we have done during the tour and we will be in a good place on August 12 for the Community Shield’- he said.

A friendly against Championship side Brighton is the next for the team before they meet Roberto Mancini’s side at Villa Park.
