Montpellier to look for a new manager in summer

Rene Girard will leave the team at the end of the season.

Montpellier boss Rene Girard did not manage to agree terms of his contract extension for the following season and decided to leave the side.
“He said three weeks ago that he had taken his decision; I’m not going to beg him to stay,” explained the club’s president Louis Nicollin.

Girard was appointed as Montpellier manager in 2009 and subsequently led them to their first Ligue 1 title in the season 2011/2012.
