Mourinho achieves a milestone

The Portuguese manager reached the record of 150 matches with Real Madrid with the highest percentage of victories in his career.

The match against Valencia was marked not only by the long-awaited excellent performance of the starry Madrid side that bagged five goals before half-time, but also by the impressive number the “Special one” achieved leading his side to 150th official fixture. The number is second highest in Mourinho’s career with only his spell in Chelsea collecting more matches (185 to be more exact).

The clash against Valencia was his 96th La Liga game, while in the Champions League he directed 30 matches, 20 in the Copa del Rey and 4 in the Spanish Super Cup.

The tactician accepted the offer to coach Real in the season 2010/2011 and during the following three campaigns achieved the highest percentage of victories of the six clubs he managed. Under his stewardship Real celebrated 110 wins, lost 18 times and played in a draw in 22 matches.
