Mourinho hints at Premier League return, denies Man Utd link
Daily Mirror informs Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho is seriously considering the possibility of returning to Premier League.
Mourinho has been linked with a move to several Premier League sides including his former side Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City, as the Portuguese saw La Liga title slipping from his hands, after Barcelona moved 16 points clear in the table with 15 games to go. Should Mourinho fail to claim Champions’ League title this season, this almost certainly means the end to his reign at Santiago Bernabeu, marred by the numerous conflicts with the players, fans and Real Madrid hierarchy.
The 50-year-old Portuguese admitted that England is likely to be the next step in his career, stating: “After Real Madrid. I love everything about English football. When? We will see. Normally, it will be my next step.”
At the same time Mourinho ruled out any possibility of taking charge of Manchester United after Ferguson retirement. “No, I don’t believe so [succeed Fergie at United]. I think we have to end our career at the same time - him at 90 and me at 70! “Yes, for sure. I want to finish at 70, so I still have 20 years to go. If I have 20 years to go, it’s because I am enjoying as much as my first day.”
