Newcastle, Liverpool to bid for Swansea defender

Sky Sports informs that Liverpool and Newcastle are chasing Swansea City centre-back Ashley Williams.

Wales skipper’s consistency and composure have caught an eye of Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers and Newcastle coach Alan Pardew. However Swansea are reluctant to let their player leave as he is considered indispensable player for the club. Williams has the best tackling, passing and interception percentage among all the Premier League defenders.

Current Williams’ deal is set to expire in 2016 and it would take a huge offer to secure his move from the club.
