Newcastle Sissoko says his double against Chelsea is only beginning

Daily Mail states Newcastle hero Moussa Sissoko is delighted with the warm welcome and pleads to gladden the fans with new goals and assists.

The new Newcastle signing from Tolouse Moussa Sissoko has quickly won the fans’ affections after putting his heart and soul into the game against Chelsea on Saturday. He scored the double against the Blues and was rewarded with a standing ovation as he was substituted for the dying minutes.

During the post-march conference the 23-year-old box-to-box midfielder admitted he has been delighted with the fans’ reaction to his performance. “I’ve never had so much encouragement, so much support as when I came off. I’m absolutely delighted. I always said I wanted to come to England to play in the Premier League and to witness this sort of support. I’m delighted to be at Newcastle. This is a great club and I hope we can continue to play fantastic games like that and do well.”

Newcastle victory over Chelsea allowed them to leapfrog in the 15th spot and ease the relegation pressure. However they face Tottenham next Saturday which will be another tough test for a renewed Alan Pardew’s side.
