Nottingham Forest appoints Sean O'Driscoll as new manager

Representatives of the Al-Hasawi family that bought the club two weeks ago stated that they interviewed some prominent coaches but choose Sean O’Driscoll as the best one.

Yesterday at the official conference Sean O’Driscoll was presented as a manager of Nottingham. The new coach said the decision to take the club was easy for him as he enjoyed working with players last season when he was manager’s assistant, he appreciated the support of the fans and underlined that he looked forward to rebuilt the team and play attractive football.

Nottingham Forest president Al-Hasawi claimed that Sean O’Driscoll had passion for Nottingham, knowledge of the game and the tournament, work ethic, respect by the players and staff of the club as he had already worked with the team last season and helped to transform it.

Previously the spokesman of Nottingham Forrest claimed that the club wanted to hire an ‘iconic manager’ with a good understanding of Championship and noted they were negotiating with a number of candidates about the potential appointment.

The previous head coach Steve Cotterill left the team two days after Nottingham had been bought by the Al-Hasawi family.
