Parma want to keep Amauri for the next season

Parma want to keep Amauri for the next season

The Italian international might renew his deal with Serie A side.

The 32-year-old striker Amauri is likely to stay in Italy for one more season following his impressive result of 10 goals this season which is the best achievement since he moved to Parma from Juventus in the season 2008/2009.

“Amauri wants to keep working in order to always do better. He wants to maintain himself at this level to keep scoring goals,“ claimed the player’s agent Giampiero Pocetta in a recent interview.

Amauri’s representative added that the decision on a new contract will be taken only at the end of the season.

“I won’t rule out that Amauri could extend his contract, as he loves Parma and the people of Parma love him. It is an unbreakable bond that prompted him to turn down a very important proposal from Hoffenheim in January, which was also advantageous in economic terms. There are the foundations for a new deal and we’ll see what happens, “stated Pocetta.
