Premier League fixtures preview: Man City vs West Brom

Premier League fixtures preview: Man City vs West Brom

Man City are likely to rest their key players for the upcoming game with West Brom in order to have a fit and healthy squad ahead of the FA Cup final against Wigan at Wembley.

Steve Clark’s side main ambition for the Premier League season was securing the mid-table safety. This target was reached long ago as the Baggies picked up 33 points by New Year. They are currently sitting in the 10th spot, 10 point above the relegation zone.

Man City are finding themselves in the second spot, four points clear of third-placed Chelsea and the win could cement their second place, provided that the Blues lose against Tottenham.

West Brom team news:

Roberto Mancini is set to reshuffle his side, meaning he could rest key players Tevez and Toure or hand them cameo appearances like he did for the game against Swansea on Saturday.

Scott Sinclair is set to miss the game, as he has been taken to hospital for a blood clot on his shoulder.

Man City team news:

Marc-Antoine Fortune will miss the game due suspension, while Chris Brunt and Goran Popov unlikely to regain full fitness after recovering from their injuries.

Morrison remains a major doubt due to lack of fitness, while out-of-favor Odemwingie remains on the sidelines because of disciplinary issues.
