Premier League fixtures preview: West Ham United vs Manchester United

Premier League fixtures preview: West Ham United vs Manchester United

West Ham will be desperate to extend their three-games unbeaten run and finish strongly, while Manchester United are determined to secure yet another victory and edge closer to the Premier League title.

West Ham team news:

Sam Allardyce is likely to stick to the side, which held Southampton to a 1-1 away draw on Saturday.

Jack Collison could be included in the starting line-up, should the Hammers boss decide to refresh his midfield, while Carlton Cole will start the game from the bench.

Mark Noble (arm) and George McCartney (hamstring) are on team’s long-term injury list.

Man Utd team news:

Sir Alex Ferguson is expected to make several chances to the side which has beaten Stoke 2-0. Johny Evans and Rafael set to fill in the positions at the back, while Welbeck, Nani and Giggs are pushing for recalls.

Despite recovering from knee injury, Paul Scholes is a major doubt due to lack of fitness. Ashley Young is a week away from returning to the full training with ankle problem. Darren Fletcher remains Man Utd’s only long-term absentee with bowel condition.
