Premier League fixtures: Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United
Tottenham Hotspur play against United and must bounce back after dismal perfomances at Etihad last week and at White Hart Lane against Newcastle before that to save face.
Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester United
Two high-profile clubs have underperformed so far this season with The Spurs lying 9th and United 6th in the table. Tottenham have not won in any of the last twelve matches against the Red Devils at White Hart Lane (W0 D4 L8) and struggle to produce goals in current campaign. They did not find the net in the last three games in Premier League. However, they managed to keep seven clean sheets in twelve matches. Both clubs were involved in European games in midweek with United beating Leverkusen in Germany by 5-0 and Spurs overcoming Tromso 2-0. Eriksen, Adebayor and Rose are out for Spurs, while Carrick is sidelined for Moyes with Van Persie, Vidic and Rafael doubtful.
Chelsea vs Southampton
Jose Mourinho is set to make changes in the squad that lost to Basel on Tuesday and produced a mere one shot. Chelsea nad Southampton are the two best defensive sides in Premier League and only conceded 10 and 7 goals respectively. The Saints scored just five goals in their five previous games on the road in Premier League. David Luiz will not be able to help his team, Luke Shaw and Dejan Lovren are doubtful for Mauricio Pochettino.
Manchester City vs Swansea City
City seem unstoppable at Etihad and Michael Laudrup has a headache figuring out how to stop Aguero, Negredo, Dezko and co. Swansea in turn have never scored at Etihad and their two main strikers Michu and Bony are doubtful for the clash.
