Premier League: Manchester City boost their title hopes after putting more misery on David Moyes

Manchester United suffered yet another humiliation at Old Trafford in ten days, this time at the hands of Manchester City.

It only took seconds for the visitors to open the scoring as United were not prepared for quick start and allowed Edin Dzeko to net from close range. United did create several opportunities but conceded another goal from the Bosnian forward on 56 minutes after a corner kick. The visitors cruised to victory and immense Yaya Toure scored another goal on the last minute to complete a 3-0 brushing. Home supporters were quick to leave the stadium, leaving helpless David Moyes stare at his side suffering another thrashing at the Theatre of Dreams.

Arsenal effectively terminated their chances of becoming champions and now start the mission to save the Champions League spot after failing to beat Swansea City at Emirates. Wilfried Bony opened early in the game, but Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud seemnigly turned things around on 73 and 74 minutes. However, a late own goal from Mathieu Flamini ruled out The Gunners’ chances of finishing at the top.
