Premier League Matchday 21 Results: Man City 3-0 Stoke

Manchester City overcame 3-0 resilient Stoke City with Zabaleta, Džeko and Agüero getting their names on the scoresheet.

Right-back Pablo Zabaleta gave the Citizens the lead with a close-range effort in the 43rd minute of the game. Edin Džeko doubled Man City’s lead in the 56th minute with tapping in the loose ball after Agüero’s shot on goal was blocked by Begovic. Agüero rounded off Man City scoring after converting a 74-minute penalty.

The comfortable Man City win was marred by Agüero injury. Currently the Citizens are awaiting the full medical assessment to be completed on Thursday to reveal the seriousness of Agüero’s injury.

The result saw the defending champions remaining at the second spot with 45 points, seven points behind Man Utd. Tony Pulis side has continued its trend of losing at the Etihad stadium. They have suffered five defeats in their five latest matches having scored no goals and conceded 14.
