Premier League Matchday 29 preview: Liverpool vs Tottenham
Gareth Bale in certainty to win Barclays Player of the Season award, as his current form is magnificent without exaggeration. However Tottenham are by no means the one-man team, and their excellent Europa League win against Inter Milan indicates the Spurs have what it takes to finish in the top-four this season.
Tottenham are unbeaten in their last 12 back-to-back Premier League games, however they lost their past 4 out of 5 encounters against Liverpool. The Reds will be hoping that their forward Suarez will deliver yet another impressive attacking display to thrash off the threat of in-form Spurs. The Uruguayan has renews his deal with Liverpool and will be hoping to prove he is worth any penny of his 100k per week contract.
Liverpool team news:
The Reds have been given a huge boost with the news striker Daniel Sturridge and defender Martin Skrtel will both be available for the game against the Spurs. Sturridge has been on the sidelines since suffering a thigh injury and is likely to regain his place in the starting XI. Despite Skrtel recovering from damaged knee, he will begin the match from the bench, as he fell out of favour with Brendan Rodgers.
Tottenham team news:
Winger Aaron Lennon remains a major doubt due to the hamstring injury picked up in the Europa League game against Inter Milan. Both Mousa Dembele and Emmanuel Adebayor are expected to feature in the starting lineup, after shaking of the minor injuries suffered ahead of the game.
Tom Huddlestone and Clint Dempsey are doubts, while Kaboul and Sandro will definitely miss the game due to knee injuries.
