Terry scored an equalizer with a powerful header from Marin’s corner in the 33rd minute. Several minutes later Lambert netted a 30-yeards free-kick to five the Saints lead for the second time in the game.

Mauricio Pochettino secured his third win as Southampton’s boss, claiming the scalp of the third high-profile opposition, with the other two coming against Man City and Liverpool. After the famous win Southampton climbed to the 13th spot, while Chelsea dropped to the fourth place in Premier League table.
