Primeira Liga results: Benfica wins Vitoria Guimaraes and other matches

Benfica who finished second last season cemented their place on top with a four-point lead after defeating Vitoria Guimaraes 4-0 as Porto was held to a 1-1 draw.

Oscar Cardozo converted a penalty kick into a goal seven minutes before the break giving Benfica the lead. Ezequiel Garay bagged the second one a minute after Vitoria defender Kanu was sent off for a second yellow card. Eduardio Salvio netted on 82 minutes and Rodrigo’s 94th-minute goal added to the comfortable victory of the League leaders.
