PSG Sakho hints at Premier League move
Sky Sports informs PSG highly-rated defender Mamadou Sakho is on the verge of leaving the club with one of Premier League sides to be his likely destination.
The 22-year-old came through the ranks at PSG to become a first-team regular at the French side. He has been considered an indispensable part of the club’s future. However soon after Qatar Investment Authority bought the club, Sakho lost his status of the key player. Qatari owners have the financial ability of signing established stars without the necessity to wait until the youngster develops into the world-class player.
That said Sakho became frustrated with the lack of first-team football and made it clear he is not prepared to sit in the bench. He said: “I will do everything to play at the 2014 World Cup, but I need to be playing week in, week out. I cannot accept playing just a few minutes this season and next because this is a decisive moment in my career.”
He has been linked with moves to numerous top European clubs and the Frenchman revealed he would prefer the opportunity to make switch to one of Premier League clubs. “At the end of the season I will sit down with my agent and club officials and clear up the situation. If I have to leave PSG to keep my place in the France national team, then I have no choice but to leave. I adore the English Premier League.”
