QPR are keen on Anelka

According to bbc.co.uk QPR boss Harry Redknapp is interested in signing Nicholas Anelka, but concerned that the Frenchman could be costly for the club.

The 33 year-old former France international joined the Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua from Chelsea in 2011. However it looks like Anelka is ready for a new chapter in his career after getting into argument about the salary.

Redknapp revealed that he would like to add the striker to his squad but is not sure whether he can afford the player. “He is a player that is of interest to anybody,” Harry said. “I think he is finishing in China so he is available […] He is a top player so he is a player we would be interested in, but whether we could afford to get anywhere near him I am not sure.”
