QPR boss to bid for Porto Rolando

QPR boss to bid for Porto Rolando

Daily Mirror reports that Queens Park Rangers are closing on a deal for Porto centre-back Rolando.

QPR boss Harry Redknapp is determined to add another defender to his squad, as Ryan Nelsen is leaving the club in February for managerial role at Toronto, while Anton Ferdinand is set to join Bursaspor on loan until the end of the season.

Rolando has reportedly informed Porto hierarchy that he is intended to leave in January amid the interest from a host of foreign clubs. QPR are believed to face a tough battle for the player’s signature from the side of Serie A clubs such as Milan and Fiorentina.

€10 million-rated Rolando himself revealed he is unsure over his preferred destination.
