Ramis injury woe for Wigan

Ramis injury woe for Wigan

According to Sky Sports Wigan Athletic’s centre-back Iván Ramis is ruled out for the remainder of the season after suffering a serious knee injury.

The 28-year-old Spaniard has limped off towards the end of Wigan 1-1 draw with Fulham. QPR coach Roberto Martinez revealed he fears the defender has torn his cruciate ligament. The defender is set to undergo a medical assessment to determine the seriousness of the injury.

Should the scans confirm the defender has damaged the ligaments in his knee the process of recovery could take for up to seven months, which means Ramis will be on the sidelines until the end of the season.

Ramis has made 17 appearances this season scoring 3 goals.
