Redknapp wants Bent

New QPR coach Harry Redknapp confirmed that he would like to add the out-of-favored Aston Villa striker Darren Bent to his squad in an effort to strengthen the forward line.

“I think he’s a good player. I’d like to have Darren Bent available, believe you me,” said new QPR coach. “He can score goals. I’ve got no problem with Darren as a boy or as a player. I think he’s a good player.”

With Bobby Zamora and Andy Johnson on the sidelines due to the long-term injuries Harry Redknapp badly needs the player who could score goals. Recent speculations linked Harry with Jermaine Defoe – the striker whom he knows well thanks to the cooperation at Portsmuth, Tottenham and West Ham.
