After the matches of the second leg on 28 August five teams out of ten celebrate their passage to the group stage while others feel upset.

FC BATE Borisov made it to the group stage as they overwhelmed Hapoel Kiryat Shmona FC 3-1 on aggregate. Aleksandr Pavlov cancelled out László Lencse’s free-kick in injury time and a 1-1 draw in Israel let BATE reach the group stage.

RSC Anderlecht passed to the group stage, after two late goals from Dieudonné Mbokani and Olexandr Yakovenko in the second leg without response from AEL Limassol FC’s. The Belgian side celebrate their victory, because the first leg they ended with one goal against two from AEL Limassol.

NK Maribor suffered a 0-1 loss against Dinamo Zagreb in their homeland. An early goal from Portuguese Tonel led Dinamo Zagreb ahead and it is the second successive season, when the Croatian side reaches the group stage in UEFA Champions League.

Málaga CF booked their place in the group stage for the first time in their history. In spite of goalless draw against Panathinaikos FC in Athens they proceed further with a 2-0 win on aggregate.

Braga sealed a place in UEFA Champions League group stage gaining 5-4 lead on penalties after 1-1 draws against Udinese in both legs.
