Rodgers backs Joe Cole

Liverpool coach Brendan Rodgers revealed he will do utmost to help Joe Cole return to his peak form, but he is not sure whether the player remains at the club.

31 year-old Cole came on as substitute and scored a goal in Liverpool 3-2 win over West Ham on Sunday. This means that the midfielder is ready to bounce back and fight for his place in the first team. “Unfortunately for Joe since the game against Young Boys, when he created a goal and scored a goal, he has been disrupted. That’s unfortunate for him because someone else comes in and takes the opportunity,” said Rodgers. “Is his future here? You would have to ask him that. The guy is still a Liverpool player - and while he’s a Liverpool player, I’ll work as hard as I can with my staff to try to make him the best we possibly can.”
