Samuel Eto'o scores a hat-trick to help Chelsea beat Manchester United at Stamford Bridge

Samuel Eto’o was Man of the Match at Stamford Bridge as the Cameroonian forward netted three times on Sunday night to keep Chelsea in title race.

Manchester United put in a decent performance in the first half but lacked leaders of Rooney caliber to compete against well-organized Jose Mourinho’s side. Eto’o opened the scoring with a nice effort deflected off Michael Carrick on 17 minutes. Danny Welbeck was denied a clear penalty shortly later as Cesar Azpilicueta brought the English striker down in the box. The Cameroonian forward added another goal minutes before the break after some disastrous defending from United centre backs. Four minutes into the second half Samuel made a hat-trick to actually kill the game. Manchester United did manage to hit one back after a nice combination between Welbeck, Jones and Chicharito. Nemanja Vidic was harshly sent off in the dying time as his tackle on Eden Hazard. Overall, The Red Devils have shown some nice movement in the match, but they still desperately need to buy world-class players to fight for top-four finish.

Manchester City scored four against bottom-placed Cardiff but are worryingly prone to defensive mistakes as they conceded twice from Craig Noone and Fraizer Campbell.

Santi Cazorla scored a brace to put Arsenal past reckless Fulham and stay at the top of Premier League table.

Sunderland 2-2 Southampton
Arsenal 2-0 Fulham
Crystal Palace 1-0 Stoke City
Manchester City 4-2 Cardiff City
Norwich City 1-0 Hull City
West Ham United 1-3 Newcastle United
Liverpool 2-2 Aston Villa
Swansea City 1-3 Tottenham Hotspur
Chelsea 3-1 Manchester United
