Santos Neymar finally signed deal with Barcelona

Neymar transfer saga, which continued several years, has finally ended after the Santos wonderkid put pen to paper on a five-year deal with Barcelona which will keep him at the club until 2018.

Neither Barcelona, nor Neymar have disclosed the financial details of the deal, but the Blaugrana are believed to pay around €30million for the player. Neymar wrote via Twitter on Monday: “here it ends this wonderful passage with a special club”.

The 21-year-old Brazil international thanked his fans and club staff on Santos’ first game of the season against Flamengo and is set to arrive to Camp Nou on the first of July.

Neymar has helped his side to won 2010 Brazilian Cup, the 2011 Copa Libertadores and three back-to-back Sao Paulo state championships. He is second Santos’ top goal scorer behind Pele with 138 goals in 229 appearances.
