Sevilla Negredo back on Tottenham radar

Sevilla Negredo back on Tottenham radar

Daily Mail reports that Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas has turned his attention to Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo in a bid to find a replacement for the injured forward Jermaine Defoe.

Firm first-choice Spurs’ striker Jermaine Defoe has suffered a pelvic injury that will keep him on the sidelines up to a month and Tottenham are in a desperate need of another frontman that could make an impact up front. Sevilla hitman Alvaro Negredo who has scored 8 goals in 18 appearances for his team this season is identified as an ideal candidate by AVB. However La Liga side is reluctant to release their player for anything less than £15 million.

In-form Celtic striker Gary Hooper and highly-rated Internacional’s Leandro Damiao are also believed to be on top of Spurs shopping list.
