Sidney Govou’s recovery will take six months
Evian winger underwent a successful operation on Tuesday.
Former French international Sidney Govou picked up serious knee injury during the match against Lille at the weekend. The 33-year-old player was diagnosed with a ruptured cruciate ligament and Govou’s knee was restructured in one of Lyon’s clinics on Tuesday.
The midfielder is set to return to training in six months, while his comeback to the pitch is expected in October.
Govou moved to Evian from Panathinaikos in 2011, spending most of his career in Lyon.
