Skrtel might leave Liverpool

Martin Skrtel stated that he could not reach consensus with the club on his contract and now considers offers from other European clubs that will play in the Champions League in the forthcoming season.

The 27-year-old told the Slovakian press that he still had valid contract with Liverpool and despite him receiving offers from other clubs, the permission should be given by Liverpool. He added though that anything could happen and he could move.

The defender praised new Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers, saying he established relaxed atmosphere in the team that contrasted dramatically with the way Kenny Dalglish managed the squad. Skrtel described Rodgers’ methods as very ‘relaxed’, noting that the coach had open approach towards the players and communicated with them as much as possible.
