Solsjaer set sights on United job

Daily Mail informs former Manchester United hitman Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is willing to come back to Old Trafford as a manager one day.

The 39-year-old Norwegian has been playing for the Red Devils for more than ten years. After retiring from football he was offered a coaching role at the club. Solskjaer has been working with Man Utd reserves for three years before starting his managerial career with Molde in 2011. He has won two Norwegian Premier League titles in a row with Molde and has been touted as one of the most talented managers in European football.

Solskjaer believes he has enough managerial experience to take over Man Utd when 71-year-old Ferguson retires. The Norwegian said: “I worked with Alex Ferguson for 15 seasons as a player and then as reserve team coach. His methodology has influenced my philosophy. Almost everything I know I learnt from Sir Alex. Both of us believe in ourselves, we always want to win and we put our faith in youngsters and work hard.”
