Southampton chase Malaga’s Jesus Gamez

Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino is desperate to sign Malaga’s defender Jesus Gamez with a view to enhance their sloppy defense.

Southampton have conceded 60 goals this season, something which needs to be care about if they wish to secure their Premier League status next season. Pochettino has been handed a £30 million war chest by the club’s chairman Nicola Cortese and he is determined to dig up some hidden gems in the transfer market in summer.

28-year-old Gamez, who has been a rock at the heart of Malaga’s defense this season, tops Pochettino’s wish list. Pochettino is also keen on signing Ecuadorian defender Frickson Erazo, Victor Ruiz and Victor Wanyama.
