Southampton game is all-or-nothing for Tottenham claims Lloris

Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris revealed his side should bend every effort to win the forthcoming Premier League game against Southampton if they are to live up to the expectations of reaching the top four finish this season.

The Spurs re determined to qualify for the Champions League, but a currently sitting in the fifth spot, two points behind their bitter rivals Arsenal with four games left. Lloris stresses it is important to return to winning ways against the Saints, following their eyebrow-raising 2-2 draw against bottom-dwelling Wigan. The Frenchman said: “We want to be in the next Champions League but we know that if we don’t get three points against Southampton our chance will be finished.”

The goalkeeper revealed he is happy about the way his career develops at White Hart Lane: “It was a big step in my career and it was very important to have a good adaptation in my life but also in football. I have enjoyed this season. It is true that it was not easy at the beginning, but after it was better.”

Lloris is assured Bale’s brilliance has played key role in Tottenham’s successes this season and hopes the Welsh wizard could retain his magnificent form in the remaining games. He said: “He has had a great season for Tottenham and helped the team to be in this situation. I am sure he will help us realise this objective and we need him to win the next four games to finish in the top four.”
