Stephen Keshi resigned from Nigeria national team following their loss to France in the round of 16.

The coach has been leading the Super Eagles since 2011 and won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations. After a painful loss to France, Keshi tweeted: “Friends, it has been a good run and I have enjoyed every moment. It’s been an honor coaching the SuperEagles. It is however time to bow out.”

Joseph Yobo, who got his 100th cap and fired an own goal against France, also retired from international football.
