Stoke City target Aston Villa Bent

Daily Mirror reports that Stoke City manager Tony Pulis is preparing a last-ditch offer for Aston Villa forward Darren Bent.

Tony Pulis is a long-term admirer of the 28-year-old out-of-favor striker and reportedly ready to get rid of two his forwards Peter Crouch and Kenwyne Jones to fund the move. The recent speculations linked Peter Crouch with a move to Queens Park Rangers, while Kenwyne Jones is a target for Swansea.

Bent joined Aston Villa from Sunderland for around £20 million in 2011 however he fell out of favor with the current Villans boss Paul Lambert. Lambert is believed to let the forward go even though he has just two days left to find a replacement.
