Stoke target out-of-favor Liverpool Shelvey

Stoke target out-of-favor Liverpool Shelvey

Stoke City are seriously considering the possibility of bringing Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey to the Britannia Stadium.

Despite delivering a series of impressive performances early in the season, Shelvey has been deemed surplus to requirements after the arrival of Coutinho and Sturridge in January. It is believed the player could be available in summer in a cut-price deal. Stoke boss Tony Pulis has been closely monitoring the development of the player this season and is set to offer him an escape route from the Anfield in summer.

Pulis considers Shelvey as an ideal replacement to Charlie Adam, who has set his sights on leaving the club in summer. Shelvey has made 14 first-team starts this season.
