Sunderland edge closer to signing Swansea Graham

Daily Mirror states Sunderland are on the brink of completing £5.5 million switch for Swansea striker Danny Graham.

The 27-year-old forward has informed Swansea hierarchy he wants to move to Sunderland due to the ‘personal reasons’. Sunderland are keen on landing the player as a cover for their main attacking force Steven Fletcher should he pick up an injury.

Meanwhile Swansea boss Michael Laudrup is reluctant to let his player leave. “We’ve had some offers for him. When there is a bid, and if that bid is not even close to what the club wants, then there’s nothing to do. Even if the player wants to leave, he has to stay,” - he said.

Graham has made 17 appearances this season scoring 3 goals.
