Tevez reckons Man City reluctant to let him go to Boca in a cut-price deal

Manchester City forward Carloz Tevez admits South American clubs cannot afford his transfer value, which makes his dream move to Boca Juniors impossible.

The 29-year-old Argentina international is concerned that his club will demand more than £20 million if they are to sell him in summer. Tevez has repeatedly stated he would like to play for his childhood club Boca Juniors before he retires, however he considers a switch to another European club to be more realistic prospect.

He said: “If it was down to me then I would return tomorrow because I will love Boca until I die. Maybe I will return to Boca when I am 33. It’s very difficult for any Argentinian club to pay Manchester City my market value. If Milan have offered 20 million Euros to Manchester City when I was in a worse moment of form then what would they pay now?”
