Tito treatment affects the team

Barca assistant coach Jordi Roura confirms Vilanova will miss the Copa game

Barcelona officials proved that Tito Vilanova will not sit in the dugout in the Thursday game against Cordaoba. The manager traveled to New York in order to receive the doctor’s advice at the Sloan-Kettering Memorial Hospital on his progress after a surgery.

At the press conference before the match assistant coach Jordi Roura claimed Tito will not be at the bench. Roura assured though that the quick recovery of the coach made positive impact on the team, becoming “an extra motivation” for the footballers to progress. Roura stated that Barca players when confronted with problems only “strive to keep moving forward.”

The tactician also stated that the coaching team still put their hope in David Villa, insisting that the forward is recovering from an injury and will become “the player that we all knew before”.
