1. Luis Suárez (Liverpool)

Being a first-team regular at Liverpool, the 25-year-old forward is willing to prove he’s one of the best in England. Suarez netted 17 goals in 39 matches for Liverpool during the 2011/2012 season. As for the 2012/2013 league campaign, he notched 10 goals in 15 matches, including his hat-trick against Norwich, which makes him one of the league’s top scorers to date, along with Robin van Persie and Michu. According to FootballTop.com readers’ voting, Suárez is on the 3rd place among forwards that perform in the English Premier League.

2. Robin van Persie (Manchester United)

Following his shocking move from the Emirates to Old Trafford, Robin van Persie continues to score regularly. On September 2, 2012 Robin made a hat-trick in the match against Southampton, scoring his 100th goal in the Premier League at the same time. Since the start of the season he has netted 10 goals in 15 matches, coming on as a substitute twice.

3. Michu (Swansea)

Miguel Pérez Cuesta, or simply Michu, joined Swansea this summer and scored a brace in his debut match, thus becoming the first player to score in the 2012/2013 English Premier League season. After such a thrilling start Michu went on scoring again and again, being a regular starter at Swansea. On 1 December 2012 he netted a double in the game against Arsenal, helping his team to beat the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium. He has 10 goals to his name at the moment, which makes him one of the top scorers in the league.

4. Jermain Defoe (Tottenham)

Defoe began the 2012/2013 season in excellent form and is now in the 4th place among the top scorers of the league, with his scoring tally of 9 goals in 15 matches. On 20 October 2012 the 30-year-old netted his 200th career goal in the game against Chelsea, an achievement Jermain can be proud of.

5. Demba Ba (Newcastle United)

Demba Ba moved to Newcastle United in the summer of 2011 and scored 16 goals in his debut season at St James’ Park, being recognized as the most successful signing of the 2011/2012 English Premier League season. Demba Ba has netted 10 goals for Newcastle since the beginning of the 2012/2013 league campaign, which makes him number five goal scorer in the league for now.
