Tottenham and Arsenal slow down, Everton suffer first defeat and other Premier League results

Manchester City condemn Everton to the first defeat in Premier League but have to come from behind after Romelu Lukaku’s opener in 16 minutes. Alvaro Negredo equalized just seconds later and Sergio Aguero added a brace to put City ahead of Roberto Martinez’s side in the table.

Tottenham suffered a shock hammering from West Ham at White Hart Lane. Goals from Winston Reid, Ricardo Vaz Té and Ravel Morrison stunned the Spurs as they conceded more on the night than in 6 previous games.

Manchester United came from behind to beat Sunderland at the Stadium of Light courtesy of two fine strikes from Adnan Januzaj, who started a Premier League match for the first time.

Luis Suarez scored his first goal at Anfield since April and helped his team join Arsenal at the top of the table.

Southampton broke into top four after a comfortable win over Swansea City at St. Mary’s Stadium.
