Tottenham chase Benfica Rodrigo

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas is lining up a move for Benfica young star Rodrigo.

The Portuguese is desperate to add several strikers this summer, as he needs a back-up for an injury-prone Jermain Defoe and replacement to inconsistent Emanuel Adebayor. With this aim in view sent his scouts to watch the 22-year-old Spaniard Rodrigo in action, and the reports convinced him to try and lure the youngster to White Hart Lane. However Benfica are unlikely to settle for anything less than £10 million.

Rodrigo moved to Spain from Brazil and started his career with Real Madrid. He is no stranger to Premier League, after having a loan spell at Bolton. Andre Villas-Boas is also chasing Barcelona David Villa and Internacional Leandro Damiao. However despite established striker he is also willing to add a rising star.
