Tottenham eye Iličić swoop

According to Daily Mail Tottenham are seriously considering the possibility of signing Palermo midfielder Josip Iličić.

The 24-year-old Slovenian is a long term target for the Spurs boss André Villas-Boas. The Portuguese was linked with a move for the player since taking charge at Chelsea in 2011. Tottenham have been active in the transfer window so far, having signed ex-Man Utd starlet Zeki Fryers and agreeing a switch for Schalke’s Lewis Holtby.

Iličić has joined the Italian side for £2million from Maribor in 2010 and has established himself as a first-team regular making 93 appearances and scoring 19 goals.
