Tottenham Gomez joins Hoffenheim on loan

Tottenham goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes has completed the loan move to Hoffenheim until the end of the season to end his nightmare at the White Hart Lane.

Gomes has been on the sidelines for most part this season, as Andre Villas-Boas preferred using either Hugo Lloris or veteran goalkeeper Brad Friedel between the sticks. Gomes has made just one Premier League appearance this season and voiced dissatisfaction with the lack of first-team action. The Brazilian has asked his boss for permission to move clubs as he wants to be part of the Brazil national team at the 2014 World Cup.

He gladly accepted the offer from the German side, despite the fact that Hoffenheim are currently occupying the 17th spot in the Bundesliga table and face a tough struggle against the relegation.
