Tottenham Lloris rallies the troops

Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris admitted the Spurs should bend every effort to earn maximum points in their remaining games and avoid the traditional end-of-season slump.

Tottenham are currently lying in the fourth spot in Premier League table, four points ahead of Arsenal and one point behind Chelsea with both rivals having a game in hand. Tottenham have lost two latest back-to-back games and will be hoping to be back to winning ways, as they visit Swansea on Saturday.

Lloris said the players feel themselves refreshed after the international break and are prepared to treat every remaining game as a final. He said: “Maybe the fight is between Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham. We can do it and I hope we will. I have big confidence because we have good character. We’ve proved it this season and now we have to show it on the pitch.

“We did very well for 12 games and we lost against Liverpool and Fulham, but the most important thing is the reaction. I think the international break was a good thing for us, to help us find energy for the end of the season. We now have eight games which are like eight finals,” he added.
