Twente Fer remains on Everton radar

Twente Fer remains on Everton radar

Everton refuse to give up their interest on Twente midfielder Leroy Fer after his proposed move to Goodison Park in January collapsed due to player’s knee injury.

However Everton continue monitoring the player’s progress with a view of a possible move in summer. David Moyes has instructed his scouts to watch the 23-year-old in action during Twente’s clash with Vitesse.

Fer has himself revealed that although he remains open to a possibility of joining the Toffees in summer, he is focused on playing for his club: ‘It is still a fantastic club. But at the moment I am not thinking about it. Only one thing counts right now: ending the season at FC Twente in a good way.’

Fer has made 18 Eredivisie appearances this season, scoring 3 goals and setting up another two.
