UEFA Champions League: Who will proceed to the group stage?

The playoff round is the final hindrance for the teams to proceed to the group stages of the UEFA Champions League.

As soon as the play-offs finish, the group stage draw will follow on 30 August in Monaco.

22 automatic entrants will join 10 successors from the play-off stage. The ten winners in the play-off round ties will proceed to the group stage, five of them are from the best-placed path and five are from the champions path.

According to recent results Málaga CF, Celtic FC and FC Dynamo Kyiv are all well placed. Málaga CF overcame Panathinaikos FC 2-0 last week, Helsingborgs IF suffer a two-goal shortfall behind Celtic FC and FC Dynamo Kyiv beat VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach 3-1.

FC BATE gained an advantage of the first leg defeating Hapoel Kiryat Shmona FC 2-0.

Suffering 2-1 home defeat AEL Limassol will face RSC Anderlecht and FC Basel 1893 will play an away second leg against Romanian club CFR 1907 Cluj after 1-2 loss.

Fenerbahçe still hopes to overcome Spartak Moskva after a 1-2 defeat. LOSC Lille Métropole ended 0-1 loss against FC København, NK Maribor lost their home game against Dinamo Zagreb 1-2 and Udinese Calcio and SC Braga finished the first leg 1-1 draw.

The matches of the second leg are on 28-29 August.
